Article on the “Praxisprojekt” with Primetals Technologies Austria

As part of a collaborative “Praxisprojekt” with Primetals Technologies Austria, our students explored how diversity can be sustainably promoted in a technology-driven and traditionally male-dominated corporate environment. The article highlights the successful collaboration and presents the findings of the students’ research across three key areas: increasing the acceptance of diversity through internal communication, increasing the proportion of women in engineering and project management, and fostering intergenerational collaboration. The aim was to identify existing challenges and develop practical recommendations for creating a more inclusive working environment. The findings demonstrated that successful diversity initiatives need to go beyond individual measures and be sustainably embedded in the company’s corporate culture.
