Vera Degenbeck M.Sc.

Vera Degenbeck has been a doctoral candidate at the Institute for Leadership and Strategic Change (ILSC) since September 2026. Before joining WU, Vera worked as a research associate at the Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg (DE), where she focused on leadership and well-being. Vera is a psychologist and completed her bachelor's degree at Ulm University. She then earned a master's degree with a research focus on work and organizational psychology at the universities of Maastricht (NL), Lüneburg (DE), and Valencia (ES). Vera gained her first practical experience in change management by supporting an agile transformation as well as in consulting on people analytics and digital diagnostics.


Research
Since Vera has only recently joined the ILSC, the specific focus of her research is still open. Her bachelor's thesis on the perception of anonymized application procedures became part of a publication. She is now looking forward to exploring new topics and questions related to change in organizational contexts.
