Ferdinand Ewerth has been a doctoral researcher at the Institute for Leadership and Strategic Change (ILSC) since October 2026. Prior to joining the ILSC, he completed a Master’s degree in Psychology of Individual Differences at the University of Edinburgh (UK). In his master’s thesis, he examined how accurately large language models can infer personality traits from written text.

Ferdinand completed his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Groningen (NL), where his thesis focused on how emotions influence conflict behavior within organizations. He gained practical experience in market research and organizational culture development at STURMundDRANG, as well as in organizational and leadership development at Janus GmbH & Co. KG.

Research

As Ferdinand has only recently joined the ILSC, the specific focus of his research is still taking shape. His interests center on leadership and organizational change, with a focus on how employees respond to change and how leaders can effectively support and guide these processes.

In the long term, he aims to bridge academic research on leadership with the practical development of leaders and leadership capabilities.
