Department Research Seminar with Mustafa Özbilgin

On June 2nd, we had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Mustafa F. Özbilgin to our department and institute for our Research Seminar. We greatly appreciated his visit and the opportunity to exchange ideas, engage in inspiring discussions, and learn more about his current research projects.

In his talk, “Recognition-Based Accountability: Rethinking Institutional Responsibility in Times of Polycrisis,” Professor Özbilgin explored how institutions respond to crises affecting marginalised groups and introduced the concept of Recognition-Based Accountability as a framework for rethinking responsibility, recognition, and institutional legitimacy.
