WU Tax Law Technology Symposium
2025 WU Tax Law Technology Symposium "ESG Reporting and Tax: Leveraging Technology for Data Collection and Management"
September 4, 2025 • Welcome Reception September 3, 2025 - 6pm
WU, Wien
Increasing ESG regulations worldwide are leading to greater reporting and data management requirements for taxpayers. These regulations place additional pressure on companies to enhance transparency by mandating the disclosure of both fiscal and non-fiscal information. The introduction of new reporting frameworks, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in the European Union, alongside existing tax-related reporting obligations like VAT returns, SAF-T, and e-invoice reporting in various countries, makes leveraging technology not only a means to improve efficiency and smart management but also a necessity for multinationals operating across multiple jurisdictions.
This one-day event aims to bring together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss and explore innovative approaches to tax law and policy in the context of sustainability and technological advancements.
