Green Buddies is a diverse group of WU Vienna students, staff, and faculty, who actively engage in sustainability efforts — especially issues that touch daily life and work experience — on the WU campus. Many of the group’s ideas have already been implemented, including the Bring Your Own Box (BYOB) initiative for a more sustainable approach to take-out meals at the participating restaurants on and around campus, the Urban Garden (behind the LC building), and a reusable coffee cup system.

The initiative is conjointly coordinated by the Environmental Management (Campus Management) and STaR.

The group generally meets four times a year. In addition, its members stay in touch via email exchanges and a regularly issued newsletter.
