About me

My name is Moritz and I came to Vienna in 2020 to start my journey at WU. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics and Social Sciences with a focus on economics and am currently pursuing my master’s in economics at WU. During my studies, I spent time abroad at Keio University in Tokyo and Yonsei University in Seoul, which gave me the opportunity to experience different academic environments and broaden my perspective on economics.

Before moving into academia, I worked as a project manager at Siemens. I later joined the Economics Department at WU as a Teaching Assistant for Public Economics, where I supported the course over three semesters.

I am now part of the Institute for International Political Economy, where I support the research projects of Jonas Bunte. At the same time, I work as a research assistant on projects regarding labour economics at Central European University. My main interests are labour economics, public economics, and applied econometrics.

Outside of my studies and research, I enjoy hiking and travelling.
