Florian Kragulj works as a research and teaching assistant in the fields of knowledge-based management and information systems at the Institute for Data, Process and Knowledge Management. His PhD thesis was on the impact of explicit knowledge about needs on organizational learning processes.

He completed a highly research-driven and interdisciplinary master programme in cognitive science (www.meicogsci.eu) and holds a master's degree (with distinction) jointly awarded by the University of Vienna, the University of Bratislava, the University of Zagreb, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and the University of Ljubljana. As part of his studies, he had a research stay at the Eötvös Loránd University Budapest. In his transdisciplinary master thesis he developed a methodological framework for the abductive inference of explicit knowledge of human needs and focused on the philosophical roots of this type of knowledge.

Furthermore, Florian Kragulj graduated at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with focuses on management and organizational behavior as well as information business. He wrote his bachelor's thesis about the interdependency between organizational culture and knowledge management. His work is based on the path-breaking theories of Ikujirō Nonaka and Edgar H. Schein and concludes with an integrated model hypothesis on how the culture of an organization could influence its knowledge creating processes and vice versa.
