Prof. Dr. Pasquale Pistone Jean Monnet ad personam Professor of European Tax Law and Policy at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law

In 2005 Prof. Pasquale Pistone was the first person to receive the prestigious EURYI (European Young Investigator) Award of the European Science Foundation in the field of law, with the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, WU, being one of 25 European research institutions and the only Austrian research institution which was selected to host a EURYI Chair. Since then Prof.
Pistone has been the EURYI-ESF Professor of European and International Tax Law at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, and, as of 2008, also became a member of the Junge Kurie of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

In 2010, the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law is once again proud to announce that, as a result of the evaluation of a joint application to the EU Commission,

Prof. Pistone has been appointed as Jean Monnet ad personam Professor

of European tax law and policy for three years. Prof. Pistone´s Chair at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, WU, is the first Jean-Monnet ad personam Chair ever awarded in European Tax Law.
