Trends and Players in Tax Policy, Rust (2013)
The Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law of WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) (Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Michael Lang, Prof. Dr. Josef Schuch, Prof. Dr. Claus Staringer, Prof. Dr. Pasquale Pistone and Prof. Dr. Alfred Storck, Prof. Dr. Jeffrey Owens) in co-operation with Research Council of Norway hosted the Conference "TRENDS AND PLAYERS IN TAX POLICY"
from July 4 to 6, 2013, in Rust, Austria.
The main purpose of this research project was to assess the trends and drivers in tax reform over the last decades and the outcome of the efforts made, as well as the changes in tax legislation and regulations. The changes in the relationship between tax administrations and taxpayers and the role of the "mayor players" were analysed and the importance of Tax Policy in the Global Economy as well as the aspects of Good Governance were covered.
