Theresa Traxler receives Excellent Teaching Award

Teaching that truly makes an impact not only requires deep expertise but is fueled by commitment, enthusiasm, creativity and a continuous willingness to refine methods and approaches. The remarkable dedication with which you contribute every day to ensuring that teaching at WU remains inspiring, of high quality and at the forefront of current developments has once again been impressively confirmed by the nomination and selection processes of this year’s Awards for Excellent and Innovative Teaching.

With a total of 2,230 nominations, student participation in the Teaching Excellence Award was once again impressive. Ten award winners were selected from around 580 nominated lecturers:

  • Tobias Huber, Department of Public Law and Tax Law

  • Michael Posch, Department of Management

  • Anna Schiffer-Zehetbauer, Department of Public Law and Tax Law

  • Manuel Scholz-Wäckerle, Department of Socioeconomics

  • Martin Spitzer, Department of Private Law

  • Ryah Thomas, Department of Socioeconomics

  • Theresa Traxler, Department of Finance, Accounting and Statistics

  • Lena Werderitsch, Department of Private Law

On June 17, 2026, the exhibition "The Art of Teaching" will take place in the afternoon at Forum LC , followed by the teaching award ceremony
