People with Disabilities

People with disabilities should be able to lead a life as self-determined and inclusive as possible. Throughout history, this has not been a matter of course and even today many steps are needed to achieve the goal of a largely inclusive society. The path to this goal leads from raising awareness of impairment and disability, through various services and technical aids and comprehensive accessibility, to active participation in all areas of society. When the body, senses, mind or soul of a person is impaired for a longer period of time, special needs arise. Affected people therefore need support or a special environment in order to be able to shape their everyday life in a self-determined way.
