Christian Grünhaus (formerly Schober) is scientific director and senior researcher of the Competence Center for Nonprofit Organizations at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. In addition to the operational management, he continuously leads practice-oriented research projects, which are usually financed by NPOs or the public sector. Prior to this position, he was the managing director and senior researcher of the Interdisciplinary Institute for Nonprofit Sector Research (NPO Institute), where he was responsible for the development of practice-oriented research. His involvement with nonprofit organizations and the nonprofit sector began in 2000, when he began working on projects of the Department of Social Policy and the Institute of Sociology at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Christian Grünhaus received his doctorate in the field of business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and also completed his studies in business administration.
