This course supports students in writing their master’s thesis by offering a platform for discussing progress with supervisors and peers. Students will receive guidance throughout the research process, from refining the research question to analyzing and presenting findings. The course is conducted in a colloquium-style format, encouraging active participation and constructive feedback. At the end of the course, students will also defend their master’s thesis.

This course will taught in the fourth semester of the MSc. Marketing program.

Active participation in discussions is crucial for successfully completing the course as most parts are held in a colloquium-style teaching format.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

• Successfully integrate their marketing knowledge and methodological skills into an academic research project.

• Critically evaluate research with regards to academic rigor, practical relevance, and contribution to the field.

• Provide constructive feedback on their peers’ projects, to defend their own project against critical comments, and integrate these comments into their current research work.

• Further improve their skills in giving and receiving feedback, dealing with criticism constructively, and designing effective presentations.
