Personal details

Klaus Prettner is professor of macroeconomics and digitalization at the Department of Economics at WU. His research is mainly concerns the impact of automation on growth and inequality, the economic consequences of demographic change, and the determinants of long-run economic growth. Klaus Prettner has published in journals such as Journal of Monetary Economics, Economic Journal, Journal of Economic Literature, European Economic Review, Journal of Economic Growth, Journal of Health Economics, and Research Policy. Together with David E. Bloom he has written the textbook “Automation and Its Macroeconomic Consequences: Theory, Evidence, and Social Impacts”, which was published 2020 at Academic Press.
