13/12/2021

E&I faculty members Shtefi Mladenovska, Jakob Pohlisch and Sophie Quach presented their research at the World Open Innovation Conference.

Open innovation describes “a distributed innovation process based on purposively managed knowledge flows across organizational boundaries.” It provides insights into how firms can harness inflows and outflows of knowledge to improve their innovation success. At the WOIC 2021, leading researchers within this field met online to discuss current research topics. Research conducted at E&I was also presented: Shtefi Mladenovska and Jakob Pohlisch gave a talk about Open humanitarian innovation in the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector: an analysis of decision-makers’ intention to adopt external innovations and Sophie Quach spoke about the role of fairness in open innovation processes among firms and users.
