About the Business Case Challenge

The Business Case Challenge was launched in 2020 by the initiators DDr. Michael Tojner and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Jonas Puck. It is organized by the Vienna University of Economics and Business in cooperation with the eXplore! initiative and is taking place this year for the fourth time.

Our mission is to bring the world of economic sciences to life by translating it into concrete practice. We aim to provide a platform where pupils and students have the opportunity to contribute to solving current challenges faced by Austrian companies and to develop innovative ideas in the process.

Together with our case partners for this year, Austrian, OMV, and UNIQA, we invite pupils and students of all disciplines to analyze the real practical challenges of the partner companies in the form of a business case and to develop sustainable solutions. Participation can be individual or in teams. During several online coaching sessions, there will be suggestions for preparing a business case and input from our practice partners. Attractive cash and in-kind prizes await the winning teams.

Be part of it and actively shape the future!
