ASCOT-Workforce: German version

SCOT WF

When assessing quality of life in long-term care, the perspectives of people receiving care and their family members and other close people are often given primary importance. Equally important, however, is to systematically assess the workplace from the perspective of staff in care organisations. ASCOT-Workforce was developed at the University of Kent (Great Britain) to measure care-work-related aspects of quality of life in long-term care from the perspective of care and nursing staff.

The project "ASCOT-Workforce: German Version" pursues two objectives. First, the Adult Social Care Outcomes Toolkit (ASCOT), which measures quality of life in professional care and support work from the perspective of the workforce (ASCOT-Workforce), is to be translated into German and validated. Second, preference weights will be determined to show the importance of the different aspects of work-related quality of life in professional long-term care.
