Diana Muslimova MSc

Diana Muslimova joined the Institute for Change Management and Management Development in October 2020 as a PhD student. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Project Management from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and a Master's degree in Oil and Gas Project Management from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University). Prior to her enrollment, she spent five years working for multinational corporation Schlumberger in the Integrated Project Management Department, where her role involved business development for Integrated Drilling Services and Integrated Service Management projects in Russia and Central Asia. She was responsible for managing the entire project cycle, from identifying opportunities to signing contracts, for projects in the Sakhalin, Arctic & South Offshore, and West Siberia Sub-Geomarkets.

In her dissertation, Diana Muslimova investigates the process through which carbon-intensive firms manage paradoxical tensions arising from climate-change-related competing demands. Her research empirically focuses on the upstream corporations in the oil and gas industry. Her research has a potential to make a contribution to the Business and Natural Environment literature. Diana holds the belief that academia is one of the important drivers of sustainable development and the dissemination of knowledge in society. Additionally, she views research and teaching as valuable and meaningful activities for creating a positive impact in the world.
