European Scientific Legal Tech Summit 2026

On 26 and 27 March 2026, the WU Legal Tech Center hosted the 2nd European Scientific Legal Tech Summit at the WU campus in Vienna. Under the theme “GenAI in Legal Practice – A Fundamental Rights Perspective”, the summit brought together international experts and provided an interdisciplinary platform for the exchange of current research and developments through a series of presentations and panel discussions, including:

• Human Rights and Fundamental Rights in the Age of GenAI

• Bias, Accountability, and Good Administration

• Digital Markets Law

• Theoretical Approaches to GenAI, Legal Reasoning, and Critical Thinking

• Access to Justice

• Challenges in Judicial and Public-Sector AI Use

Complementing the live event, an anthology of the contributions will be published soon, providing deeper insights into the topics discussed and making them accessible to a wider audience.
