We’re excited to share a milestone for Team IPE: at the end of June, our entire research group attended the annual European Political Science Association (EPSA) conference in Madrid, our very first conference together as a team! This was the first occasion where the entire research team was present, providing a valuable opportunity to connect with political scientists and researchers from other European universities.

Jonas presented his work with co-author Faisal Ahmed on bureaucracies and trade promotion. Sidan shared his paper on Special Economic Zones, while Zack and I discussed our research on mobile money and corruption.

Beyond the presentations, the conference served as a meaningful opportunity for our team to come together, support one another, and collectively represent our research. It was a good moment to acknowledge these smaller achievements as we continue to develop our work and collaborations.

We look forward to building on this experience in the future.
