Work at IfU, previous experience and academic profile

Christian joined the Institute for Strategy and Managerial Accounting (IfU) as a research and teaching associate in November 2025. He studied Socioeconomics and Business Administration at WU Vienna and the University of Essex, focusing on behavioral economics and empirical research methods. Before joining IfU, he worked for several years in behavioral insights consulting, applying behavioral science to strategy, transformation, and communication topics across different industries.

Research interest

Christian’s research interests lie at the intersection of behavioral economics, management control, and organizational behavior. In his doctoral research, he aims to investigate how incentive structures, behavioral factors, and control systems jointly shape managerial and employee decision-making.
