Anja Pichler

Work at IfU, previous experience and academic profile

Anja is a research and teaching associate who joined the Institute for Strategy and Managerial Accounting (IfU) in August 2023. She completed her BSc in Business Administration at WU, spending one semester at The University of Sydney in Australia. Following that, she worked as Project Lead at Capgemini Eastern Europe and Austria, directly reporting to the region's CEO, planning and executing the region's first internal sales fair with more than 30 international senior executives in Prague, being invited to support Hungarian management in Budapest and leading the CFOs of the regions' five countries, as one team, to the first rank out of all-Europe on an internal finance tool roll-out milestone achievement. For her work, she received the excellence award. In her master studies, she focused on management as well as took a master class on Central and Eastern Europe. Based on her exchange in France she moved on to the European Capgemini cluster where she developed the regional sustainability action plan for eleven European countries from scratch and set up a realization team across various seniority levels and business responsibilities. The plan's successful defense in Paris towards the cluster's CEO was concluded by its presentation to the cluster's executive team and eleven countries' CEOs. This got her invited, by the French Embassy in Austria, as a speaker alongside the French ambassador in Austria, representatives of the United Nations and directors of leading French-Austrian business institutions at the first Economy-Francophonie-Forum at WKO in March 2023.
