Practice lecture by DI Dr. Christian Plas (denkstatt)

05/11/2019

Every semester, the Institute for Managing Sustainability holds practical lectures for students as part of its courses. In the winter semester 2019/20 Christian Plas, the founder of the sustainability consultancy denkstatt, gave insights into the experiences and perspectives of a consultant.

His lecture covered three core topics: Firstly, he pointed out possibilities for companies to reduce their CO2 emissions. Furthermore, he presented methods to consider the ecological, economic and social effects in project planning. Finally, he illustrated how recycling cycles can work with the help of an EU project against the waste of food packaging, which ran from 2016-2019. He emphasized the importance of business policies and governance for successful CSR management. In the following discussion, around 100 students took the opportunity to reflect on the lecture together with Mr. Plas.
