External seminars for Bachelor students in Reichenau an der Rax

16/12/2019

The Institute for Managing Sustainability organized external seminars at Gasthof Flackl in December.

The students actively took part in a business simulation game and gained practical insights by developing concrete solutions for social problems in a Design Thinking Workshop on Responsible Innovation. The workshop was led by Dr. Bettina Maisch from Siemens AG. Furthermore, other workshops were held on societal impacts of corporations.

Every semester, the Institute for Managing Sustainability offers the courses "Corporate Social Responsibility - Meant Seriously or Just a PR Stunt?" and "Responsible Innovation - Towards sustainable innovation processes" for students of the economic and social sciences bachelor program. In addition, the courses "Multinational Corporations in Development Countries - Partner or Threat?" and " Multinational Corporations in Developing Countries - Human Rights" are offered for Business Law students.

Further information on the courses offered by the Institute for Managing Sustainability can be found here.
