At the start of each academic year, WU hosts an interactive on-campus event to welcome its incoming bachelor’s students. Because of the COVID-19 induced social distancing restrictions, this year, the event was held online. Nevertheless, it maintained its interactive character, including a wide variety of videos, keynotes, panel sessions, and live chats for Q/A.

STaR fellow Laura Bauer participated in a special livestream panel session on extracurricular programs. At the core of her presentation was the Green Buddies initiative, in which students, staff, and faculty come together on regular basis, and exchange ideas on how to promote environmental sustainability and raise the awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals on our campus.
