Johanna Hofbauer is Associate Professor at the Institute for Sociology and Social Research, Department of Socioeconomics, WU Vienna (Austria). She is also member of the Research Institute Economics of Inequality (ineq) and the Competence Center for Sustainability Transformation and Responsibility. Her research areas are gender and social inequality, the future of work and conditions of equal opportunities in work organizations.

Fabian Kessl is professor for social pedagogy and social policy at the University of Wuppertal (Germany). His research interests are in the New Charity Economy and the transformation of the welfare state, especially due to the dimensions of scale (spatial aspects), the everyday life of service users, and the institutional change of public services in general.

Hannah Lambie-Mumford is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Politics and International Relations and the Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Sheffield (UK). She also sits on the Food Standards Agency’s Advisory Committee for Social Science and on Child Poverty Action Group’s (CPAG) Policy Advisory Committee. Her research focuses on food insecurity, food support systems and the role of public policy in promoting better access to food.

Tiina Silvasti is Professor of Social and Public Policy at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy in the University of Jyväskylä (Finland), where she is also leader of Food System Studies Research Group. Her recent research interests focus on food system studies, especially the First World hunger, food (in)security and the rise of charitable food aid as an answer to food poverty.
