The Viennese Law Salon aims to offer a space for international and research-led exchange on the role of law in shaping sustainable social structures. Through inspiring thoughts, controversial propositions, and constructive feedback, it fosters a lively discussion on topics related to planning, innovation, and transformation.

The Viennese Law Salon is organized by

  • Professor Dragana Damjanovic (TU Vienna)

  • Professor Iris Eisenberger (University of Vienna)

  • Professor Verena Madner (WU)

On Wednesday, 6 March, 2024, 6.00 p.m. the Viennese Law Salon opened its doors for the third time.

Professor Angelika Siehr spoke on “Das Recht am öffentlichen Raum” (The right to public space). The talk was held in German.

Angelika Siehr is Professor of Public Law, International Law and Philosophy of Law as well as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law at Bielefeld University. Her key works include “Das Recht am öffentlichen Raum. Theorie des öffentlichen Raumes und die räumliche Dimension von Freiheit”  (Tübingen 2016).

The third edition of the Viennese Law Salon took place at TU Wien, Argentinierstraße 8. After the talk, there was time to discuss the topic over wine and snacks.
