Courses

Members of the institute currently teach in the Master’s Program in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy (SEEP), the Master’s Program in Business Law (MaWiRe) and the Bachelor’s Program in Business Law (BaWiRe). Courses include:

  • International and European Law, Institutions and Governance (SEEP)

  • Globalisation and Multi-Level Policy I & II (SEEP)

  • Environmental Law (MaWiRe)

  • Democracy, Participation and Sustainability (BaWiRe)

  • Sustainability, international trade and investment protection (BaWiRe)

Thesis Supervision

We also supervise thesis projects of students in all of WU’s three bachelor’s programs, the Bachelor’s Program in Business, Economics and Social Sciences (BaWiSo), the Bachelor’s Program in Business and Economics (BEE) and the Bachelor’s Program in Business Law (BaWiRe). At master’s level, we supervise thesis projects of students in WU’s Master’s Program in Business Law (MaWiRe) and in the Master’s Program in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy (SEEP).

Twice a year bachelor students have the possibility to apply for supervision of their theses at the institute. Please find more detailed information on possible topics and the application process here.

Generally, bachelor’s and master’s theses relating to one or more of the following research areas may be considered for supervision:

  • Globalization, international trade and investment protection

  • EU trade and investment policy; EU institutions

  • Governance and sustainability

  • Sustainable urban development

  • Public participation and access to justice

  • Participation, democratization and sustainability

  • Spatial planning and infrastructure law

  • Environmental law, climate and energy law and policy
