EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

"Just Fix It" is a digital platform designed to connect consumers with repair services for electronic devices. It aims to promote sustainable product lifecycle management by encouraging repairs over replacements, thereby reducing electronic waste.

Goal

"Just Fix It" aims to redefine the repair experience by emphasizing transparency, convenience, and secure payment options. The goal is to create a trustworthy environment where customers can easily find and engage with repair services, ensuring a transparent pricing structure and a hassle-free repair process. This approach not only supports sustainable practices but also enhances customer confidence and satisfaction in the repair ecosystem.

Methodology

The development of this platform was based on the lean startup methodology, focusing on rapid prototyping, iterative product releases, and validated learning from customer feedback. This approach helps in quickly adapting to market needs and efficiently improving services. It emphasizes minimal viable products (MVPs) to test market hypotheses and utilizes customer feedback for continuous development.

Results

After having changed and adapted our business model multiple times in the iterative process of the lean start-up process, we ended up with the current version of our start-up idea. Now, we have specified the problem we are solving as well as the customer segments we will be focusing on. As an MVP we developed a prototype website for our platform to further test the usability of it during our next steps. The overall experience provided invaluable insights into the dynamics of starting and scaling a tech startup. The team gained significant experience in aspects of product development, market analysis, and customer analysis. Encouraged by the learning experience, there is a strong consideration to continue evolving the project beyond the course's conclusion, exploring new market opportunities, and expanding its service offering!
