Biography

Constanze Kerres joined the Institute for Ethics in Management as a PhD student in 2023. Drawing on sociomateriality and feminist science & technology studies (STS), her research interest lies at the intersection of AI, ethics, and organizing. Rather than taking a rule-based approach to ethics, her conceptual and empirical work explores how the introduction of AI triggers ethical questions inside organizations and how organizational members navigate these challenges as they arise in practice. In line with this focus on ethics in practice, she teaches Course II in the bachelor specialization program EMOS (Ethics for Management, Organizations and Society), which addresses specific challenges for moral action in organizational settings.

Driven by her interest in the intersection of people and technologies, previously Constanze worked in the financial sector in the areas of change management and human resource strategy. She received her BSc in Management Sciences from the University of Southampton and a MSc in Diversity and Change Management from Copenhagen Business School and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
