The E&I Excellence Program honors students who have demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial skills and performance. Students who have performed particularly well in all E&I specialization courses (passing project courses with a “good” or better and with an overall E&I specialization GPA better than 2.0) will receive a Confirmation of Excellence after completion of the specialization. The Confirmations of Excellence are sent twice per semester: for the winter semester between mid-February and mid-March. For the summer semester at the end of July and at the end of October. This detailed, written confirmation of exceptional performance can be useful when applying to a master’s program or looking for a job.

The Excellence Program is also part of our ongoing effort to maintain and improve the quality of our project courses. Students who successfully meet the entrepreneurial challenges of the first course (Course 4) qualify for the challenging project work offered in the second course (Course 5) and the chance to receive a Confirmation of Excellence. Students who do not show the kind of performance we expect from our students (a grade of 2 or higher) in the first project course will be assigned a different role in the second project course (Course 5). They will not have contact with project partners and will instead provide support desk services during the project and write an individual term paper. Students who do not pass the required reading test will be automatically transferred to the Analyst Support Program for the rest of the semester. Students who perform well in the Analyst Support Program in Course 4 can fully participate in Course 5.
