Code of Conduct
The Institute for English Business Communication seeks to maintain an environment that promotes academic achievement and integrity. In turn, we expect our students to be honest and obey certain rules of behavior with regard to EBC staff and fellow students:
be friendly and courteous in your communications;
treat others with respect;
adopt a diligent, honest and cooperative approach to all aspects of academic life.
Academic dishonesty is any conduct that involves dishonesty in academic work or that enables a student to obtain an unfair advantage in academic matters. It includes, but is not limited to:
Cheating: intentionally using or attempting to use unauthorized materials, assistance, information or study aids in any academic exercise.
Fabrication: intentional and unauthorized falsification or invention of any information or citation in an academic exercise.
Plagiarism: intentionally or knowingly representing the work, words or ideas of someone else as one's own in any academic exercise.
Facilitating academic dishonesty: intentionally or knowingly helping or attempting to help anyone to violate any provision of this code.
