Work at IfU, previous experience and academic profile

Manuela Gudeljevic has been working at the Institute for Strategy and Managerial Accounting as a research and teaching associate since March 2025. Over the past eleven years, she has gained experience as a commercial employee, as a research associate in R&D, as an international project manager and quality manager, and most recently as head of a municipal office. Since 2024, Manuela has also supported the family business as a senior manager with responsibility for accounting, procurement, and human resources.

Manuela completed her Bachelor’s degree in Material and Process Engineering in 2017 and the corresponding Master’s degree in 2019, followed by an MBA in 2023. She is a certified International Welding Engineer (IWE) and Quality Management Specialist, and has completed training in payroll and accounting.

Research interest

Manuela’s research interests lie in the career paths of women in leadership positions in the public sector, the private sector, and in non-profit organizations. Her work focuses in particular on the phenomenon of the leaky pipeline and on strategies to reduce it.
