Workshop Tax and Governance in a Chinese context, Vienna (July 2, 2015)

Starting from 2008, the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law at WU has built up the largest tax research network between European and Chinese universities. The Austro-Chinese Tax Research Network includes the Peking University, the Central University of Finance and Economics, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University, the Sun Yat-Sen University, the Wuhan University and the Xiamen University and focuses on international tax law, tax policy and tax administration.

Within the framework of the Austro-Chinese Tax Research Network, the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law at WU organizes together with the WU Global Tax Policy Center and with friendly support of EURASIA PACIFIC-UNINET a workshop on "Tax and Governance in a Chinese context" on July 2, 2015, 09:00 - 12:30 a.m. The workshop will be chaired by Prof. Rust and Oliver-Christoph Günther and will take place at WU (AD.0.114 Sitzungsaal 1).

The workshop aims at presenting and discussing the most interesting topics related to tax and governance in a Chinese context and shall serve as a starting point for a longer research project on "Tax & Governance: Creating Fair Market Conditions" with a number of Chinese universities. This topic seems to be currently of key importance for Chinese MNEs, SOEs and also for the tax administration.
