Gregor Zens receives "Best Student/Postdoc Contributed Paper Award"
Gregor Zens, Institute for Statistics and Mathematics, was awarded one of 21 "Best Student/Postdoc Contributed Paper Award" at the 2021 ISBA World Conference.
The awards are sponsored by the National Science Foundation. Each award is endowed with $1,000 dollars. The competition received 243 submissions from students and postdocs. The selection process included an initial nomination by the chairs of the contribution sessions and an evaluation by a five-member subcommittee of the ISBA 2021 Scientific Committee.
Gregor Zens joined the FWF project "Shrinking and Regularizing Finite Mixture Models" of Sylvia Frühwirth-Schnatter on July 1, 2021.
