Scientific guidance of a campaign of the Arbeiterkammer Oberösterreich

The Chamber of Labour of Upper Austria (Arbeiterkammer Oberösterreich, AK OÖ) planned a campaign in 2016 on the topic "The economy is doing better than it admits". First activities were set in 2017 and were accompanied by the NPO & SE Competence Center.

The aim was to analyse this campaign with regard to its impacts on different stakeholders. Within the framework of the project, surveys were conducted among SMEs, works councils, officials and chamber councils, members of AKOÖ and employees of AKOÖ, by the Institute for Empirical Social Research (IFES) and the NPO Competence Center. Furthermore, AK-internal information on the campaign and its media impact was used.

The research design was designed as a longitudinal study with pre-post comparison. The results of the first survey wave were evaluated and presented at the beginning of 2018. The second wave of surveys was prepared but not implemented due to a change in the communication strategy within the campaign. The project was completed in March 2019 and a final report was submitted to AK OÖ.
