SROI analysis as instrument for societal oriented impact measurement in the NPO sector

On 21 February 2020, the NPO Competence Center was represented by Christian Grünhaus' (former Schober) keynote "SROI analyses as an instrument of socially oriented impact measurement in the NPO sector" and a workshop on "impact-oriented management" at the conference Kommunal klug in Hanover, Germany.

The conference, organised by nifbe, the Lower Saxony Institute for Early Childhood Education (Niedersächsisches Institut für frühkindliche Bildung und Entwicklung) and the Hannover Region, gave us the opportunity to work with a number of representatives from the fields of early intervention, day care centres and regional child and youth welfare.

This was particularly interesting as we have just completed a study on the complexity of care for children and young people and are finalising a SROI analysis of the SAFE courses, a programme to promote early childhood bonding. It was especially wonderful to see how interested the participants were in the topic and with what high interest they did not want to stop analysing their own projects in this sense. We are looking forward to a continuation at possible further events!
