Newslounge

The Newslounge offers a broad range of Austrian and international magazines, newspapers, and periodicals. It is located on level 4 of the Central Library. In the Newslounge, you can browse through over 70 daily newspapers, weekly newspapers and magazines, business magazines, and various other publications.

In addition, the Newslounge is also equipped with a PressReader terminal that gives you online access to over 7,000 daily newspapers and magazines from 100 countries in 60 languages. The newspaper issues available through PressReader remain available online for 60 days.

Contains articles from more than 7000 international newspapers and magazines. Additionally legal literature, company reports and biographies.

Gives you online access to more than 7,000 daily newspapers and magazines from over 100 countries in 60 languages. The newspaper issues available through PressReader remain available online for 60 days.

wiso Presse

Contains newspaper articles from the German-language daily and weekly press, including many Austrian newspapers.

Economist & Financial Times Historical Archives

The Economist Historical Archive

All articles of the renowned British news magazine "The Economist" from the years 1843 to 2020 are available as facsimiles. Included are more than 8,000 issues with more than 900,000 pages. Browsing through the individual issues is possible, as is as a full text search over the entire period. You are also able to export full texts in PDF format or in text format (OCR).

Financial Times Historical Archive

In this database, the volumes 1888 to 2021 of the renowned business newspaper "Financial Times" are accessible online. More than 850,000 pages have been made available, comprising a collection of over 7 million articles. The contents are searchable in full text. Additionally, each individual issue can be searched separately. It is possible to export the full texts in PDF format and text format (OCR).
