1 Year of Digital WU Theses

18/03/2026

On the occasion of the one-year anniversary, we take a look at the most important key data of this comprehensive digitization project.

Since March 2025, master's theses and dissertations at WU have been submitted to the university library exclusively in digital form, where they are published and archived. This replaces the submission of printed theses, and the entire process is now completely digital: from submission by students to plagiarism checks and evaluation to publication, collection, and long-term archiving by the library.

WU Digital Collections

As of March 2026, you are able to access about 1,300 master's theses and 80 dissertations via the Digital Collections platform.

It is also possible to filter by author or reviewer of the thesis, course of study, and subject keywords.

Searching for WU Theses

To search for printed and digital theses in the library catalog, use the filter WU Theses.

  • Printed theses are located in the Central Library on level -2 (second basement).

  • Theses submitted digitally (since March 2025) can be accessed via the library catalog or the Digital Collections platform. You can access/download the full texts within the WU network.
