Prof. Claudia Jonczyk opened this semester's Female Scholar program with a delightful Morning Talk on networking, gender and international careers.

Claudia Jonczyk holds the Chair of Strategic Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Neuchâtel since 2018. She is the current Director of the Institute of Management and Vice Dean of faculty. In her research, she studies social capital and networks as well as question of identity adaptation of expatriates and how service professionals manage their careers. Her research has been published in leading academic journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Academy of Management Discoveries and the Journal of Vocational Behavior as well as in practitioner outlets and case studies.

Before joining the University of Neuchâtel, Claudia Jonczyk has been a Professor of Management at ESCP Business School in London and a visiting researcher at INSEAD and MIT’s Sloan School. Professor Jonczyk holds a PhD from the University of Geneva and a Master and Bachelor from the University of St. Gallen. 

In her talk she shared her views and some practical insights from her research on networks, gender and careers as well as some reflections into managing an international academic career.
