About

Lukas Johann Hauder is a research associate (prae-doc) in the Department of Health Economics and Policy.

He is currently working on the externally funded project PRÖMS. The aim of this project, carried out in close cooperation with the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK), is to develop an instrument for the routine collection of patient-reported outcome and experience measures in primary care.

His research interests include the effectiveness and efficiency of health policy prevention measures, the health impacts of socioeconomic inequalities, and the evaluation of health data.

Before joining WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), Lukas Hauder worked at the Federal Ministry of Finance, Large Enterprises Tax Office, as a tax auditor. He studied Business and Economics (BSc) at WU and completed his Master’s degree in Socioeconomics in 2021. In his master’s thesis, he examined how cross-country inequalities in health expenditure affect lung cancer mortality. In addition, he completed a semester abroad at NHH Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway, and a postgraduate university course in Project Management at the University of Graz.
