Who should I contact regarding course credits?
Please direct all inquiries regarding credits to the service unit Study Regulations & Credit Transfer (Studienrecht & Anerkennung).
How do I receive a letter of recommendation?
Please send your request to email@example.com and include the following information:
your date of birth and matriculation number
the course instructor from whom you would like a letter of recommendation. If possible, the course instructor should be someone who knows you *very well* (e.g., from an elective or your bachelor’s thesis advisor).
Do you need an additional signature from the Head of the Institute?
Can I also participate in the admission process even if I haven’t completed AMCII yet, for example?
No, it is technically not possible to register for the AG and participation in the selection process is therefore not possible, without exception.
How long does it take to receive notification of admission?
It is also in our interest that the admission process is completed as quickly as possible. However, it still takes some time to go through all the documents. Please be patient!
Can I complete the specialization (SBWL) in only 1 semester?
No, unfortunately this is not possible. The specialization (SBWL) is designed and planned to be completed in 2 semesters. Since courses 1 and 2 must be completed before courses 3-5, it is technically not possible to register for the later courses.
Can I take an additional 3rd elective in addition to the elective courses 3/4 and receive credit as a free elective?
Our SBWL students, i.e. exclusively those who have been accepted, are allowed to complete further electives as free electives. However, so that this does not delay the progress of regular students, we offer the following procedure:
If you are interested in a 3/4 course as an elective, you can contact us by e-mail at the earliest 3 days AFTER the start of registration for the electives at firstname.lastname@example.org (indicate the desired course number & your matriculation number!). If there are still places available, we will do the registration for you.
Will I receive information about my place on the waiting list?
Please understand that we cannot provide any further information on the probability of moving up the waiting list in the meantime, as this is not dependent on and/or cannot be influenced by us. We also do not provide information about the waiting list place and will not answer inquiries about this.
How/where can I provide my skills?
Please log into the canvas course "Access to Specialization: Digital Marketing" and follow the instructions. Please note that you will only show up in the canvas course a day after your application via LPIS.
Do I need to attend the SBWL Kick-Off event (the first session of the core course) in Digital Marketing?
The kick off event informs you about the specialization program in general and more specifically on the organization of the first semester of your SBWL studies. As the first session of the core course it is also an integrated part of the core course and attendance is mandatory. Note that as all our courses are designed as continuous assessment courses (PI courses), which implies that you have to attend at least 80% of the sessions to successfully pass the course. This means that you can miss one class session and the kick-off is not an exemption. In case you need to miss the kick-off please make sure that you get in touch with colleagues, because we discuss important organizational matters and assignments for the following session.
What do do if there is an overlap between one of our core courses and another course outside the SBWL?
While we make every effort to prevent course overlaps within our specialization, we cannot promise that all of our courses will not be overlapped with courses from outside the SBWL. Since all our SBWL classes are designed as continuous assessment courses (PI courses), you have to attend at least 80% of the sessions to successfully pass the course. Please arrange your coursework such such that you can adhere to this rule.
