The FLEX Center is located in the building D2 (entrance D). Upon entering the entrance area, the center is well signposted and cannot be overlooked.

To gain access to the rooms, the access card must be picked up at the IT Service Desk in the building TC (room TC.0.63) beforehand and returned there after recording.

If the recording takes place on several days, the card still must be handed in at the end of the day and then borrowed again.

The IT Service Desk is open from Monday to Friday at the following times:

• During the semester: 08:00-20:45

• During the winter and summer university: 08:00-19:45

• During the other vacation periods: 09:00-16:45

In the FLEX Video Studio, you record in front of a green screen. A green screen is a green studio background that is subsequently replaced by a digital background image (such as a presentation).

In order to create a good distinction from the virtual background, the following should be considered when choosing clothing:

Please be careful not to wear green clothing. Also avoid too fine or too strong patterns and garments with lettering or logos. We recommend choosing rather subtle colors.

Tip: You can also bring aditional clothes with you so that you have the opportunity to optimize the contrast between clothing and background on site if necessary.

Please bring your presentation slides on a USB stick. The slides must correspond to the aspect ratio 16:9 in order to avoid black borders or distortions.

Tip: In order not to cover any slide content during the recording in front of the green screen, you can optimize the slides in advance. You can find a template for slide design here.

The recordings from the FLEX Studios are automatically uploaded to the Planet eStream media platform and assigned to the person who booked the studio. Please note that it is therefore important that the person who wants to manage the videos/audios also books the studio. Please record within the booked time only. Otherwise, your recordings from the FLEX Media Studios cannot be assigned to your booking.
