One of the most common uses of 360° scenarios is the virtual tour, which can be used on the desktop or in VR glasses.

On the page "About the FLEX Center", for example, you can take a virtual tour of the FLEX Center to explore the premises and call up additional information.

360° scenarios - videos or photos - are not flat shots, but represent a spherical panoramic view. As a viewer, you are in the center and can let your gaze wander in all directions.

360° scenarios can be enriched with interactions, for example a quiz or an explanatory text - written or spoken. You can easily embed the interactive 360° scenarios into your learning environment in Canvas or LEARN.

To produce a 360° video or photo, a 360° camera is required, which is positioned on a tripod in the center of the action. In the FLEX Lab, you can familiarize yourself (on request) with the equipment and try out using the 360° camera.

The following equipment is available and can also be borrowed:

• Tablet with pre-installed app to control the 360° camera

• Audio recording device (stereo and 360°)

For enriching a 360° scenario with interactive elements, two powerful computers with Adobe Captivate and Vivista software are available in the FLEX Lab.

You can add interactive elements to your 360° degree scenarios. These can be embedded explanations in text form or quiz questions for your students. Furthermore, it is also possible to cut 360° degree scenarios or enrich them with additional sound.
