Seamless Learning Conference 2024

AI as a Co-Teacher?

Join us for the third annual Seamless Learning Conference at WU Vienna!

The conference will take place on 11 April from 09.30 to 18.00 at WU Vienna (Vienna University of Economics and Business), with additional workshops offered on 12 April from 09.00 to 12.00.

WU Vienna is happily inviting all interested practitioners, policymakers and scholars to its 2024 Seamless Learning Conference. The annual events bridge discourses, disciplines, and perspectives on current issues in higher education teaching and learning, aiming for a learning experience that is as seamless as possible.

The SLC 2024 will explore the rise of AI in higher education, with a specific focus on how AI enables and/or limits learning and teaching effectiveness. Put as a simple question: Are AI applications already suitable as co-teachers or co-mentors for students and how is “AI-enhanced” teaching and learning really adding value? To what degree is this supporting a “seamless” learning experience? Ethical and legal challenges will be as much tackled as pedagogical innovations and didactic tweaks.

These topics will be discussed in three tracks:

  1. (Planning) teaching with AI

  2. AI in the students' lifeworld

  3. AI and Data Literacy

  4.

Registrations

We aim to ensure participation of all interested in this event. However, the event has a limited capacity, and to guarantee a fair balance amongst countries and institutions, we may have to restrict attendance. As a result, we reserve the right to refuse registrations if there are too many participants from any one country or from one institution. Priority will be given to those who register early. We will not be able to accept additional registrations once the event is full, even if this occurs before the registration deadline.

The early registration deadline is 01 March 2024

The overall deadline for registration is 22 March 2024.
