E&I Students pitch their projects at the Alpbach Finance Symposium

15/10/2026

Eight of our students presented their projects to more than 400 CFOs and decision-makers, and Alexander Vollmann won the pitch battle and a one-year mentorship.

Our team took part in the Alpbach Finance Symposium again this year, represented on site by Theresa Nicolussi, Diana Lauer, and a group of students. Eight students presented their projects in a pitch battle to an audience of more than 400 CFOs and decision-makers from business, politics, and academia. Some projects were developed in cooperation with our project partners B&C, Montana, RISE, Fraunhofer, FESTO, Frequentis, and AMAG, while others were based on the students’ own startup ideas.

Alexander Vollmann won the pitch battle and, with it, a one-year mentoring program with Martina Saller of Microsoft Austria for his venture envario. The other participants were Katinka Györfi, Finja Reithmeier, Jun Yu Jin, Paul Deisenhammer, Hanna Greiner, Hendrik Böttcher, and Maximilian Hofmeister. We thank Hannes Enthofer for giving students a platform at the symposium, and our project partners for their challenges and the collaboration.
