Since its launch in 2015, the WU Entrepreneurship Center has evolved into one of Europe’s most vibrant university start-up hubs, fostering entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and collaboration across the WU community and beyond. Over the past ten years, more than 57,000 people have participated in its programs and events, over 4,000 mentoring and consulting sessions have been held, and around 600 start-up teams have received support.

The Center’s impact extends beyond education. It actively connects academia with practice through a growing network of mentors, experts, investors, and alumni founders. A recent milestone includes the launch of WU Ignite Ventures, WU’s new university-affiliated investment company, which already announced its first portfolio start-ups: Constrct and NEXO Skeleton.

What began as a small initiative to make entrepreneurship more accessible on campus has become a driving force for innovation at WU Vienna and a community where curiosity, courage, and creativity continue to thrive.
