Study trips took place in the context of the BiWi II seminars led by Jan Christoph Heiser/Christian Gehart

The thematic starting point was the previously developed theses of educational anthropology (Plessner/Fink/Burchardt/Harari) and the different images of humanity, including their (behavioral) consequences from an educational perspective. Both excursions led to the Weltmuseum [World Museum], where the focus was primarily on the “perceived other” (Wierlacher) and the related constructions of foreignness. The handling of looted art and postcolonial provenance research were also discussed.
