New top journal article by our marketing faculty: Lay rationalism and decision satisfaction in self-control conflicts

Assist. Prof. Michalis Kokkoris has recently published a paper in the prestigious Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, a top-tier journal in psychology with an impact factor of 5.733 and widely esteemed among marketing and consumer research scholars. In a series of eleven studies, Michalis and his collaborators Erik Hoelzl (University of Cologne) and Carlos Alós -Ferrer (University of Zurich) examine how individuals respond to decisions to resist or indulge temptations in everyday life and provide thought-provoking insights into the psychological meaning of self-control. This is an outstanding achievement not only for the Marketing Department but also for our university as a whole as this the (!) first publication of a WU researcher in this elite psychology journal.
